Location & Getting Here

Tawa Cove - Endeavour Inlet, Queen Charlotte Sound, Marlborough Sounds

Our jetty number is Q5584.

Access to our location is exclusively by boat, water taxi, or by walking or biking via the Queen Charlotte Track.

For hikers: It's approximately a 4 to 4.5-hour walk from Ship Cove. Heading south, once you reach the Tawa Saddle picnic table, it's about another 35 minutes along the Queen Charlotte track. You'll see our sign on the left for Tawa Cove; from there, it's a 10-minute walk down to our property and cabins.

Please note that a reasonable level of fitness is required to walk the track. The Marlborough Sounds are hilly, and like many properties here, our access track is steep in places and includes several steps at the Tawa Cove end. It's a 10-minute descent and a 15-minute ascent. Guests who find this challenging are often those with knee issues, which may be worth considering if you have similar concerns.

Bikers might find the access track demanding, but we can discuss your options prior to booking.

For private boat arrivals:

From Picton or Waikawa Marina, it's a 45-minute journey. Please contact us to reserve a mooring.
